buying a winch

Looking at a warn "tabor" ? is this a low(er) budget warn winch? Doesnt have the red "W" on it.. just wondering.. anyone have one of these?

I've heard they are very low budget and not that great quality. Never used one though.

they made by warn. and the have the same quality. but the have a limited warntee to jeep the price down.

My brother has had one of the early models for about 2 years. At that time they where called a Magnum but DC sued them for using that name so they changed it to Tabor.
He has the 9000 and has used it for some hard pulls with no problems. Not as fast as my HS9500i but for the money it is a great winch.

^^He is correct. They were formerly known as "magnum" winches, and from what I've read they're pretty decent. They at least have decent specs. Search for magnum winch on pirate and you'll find a bit about them.
