Buying used engine

I'm about to purchase a used engine of the internets but confused on one part. The website lists with and without flow control valve. Looking at the the parts for the engine, I cannot find one without a flow control valve. Is this just shipped with and without the valve and not indicating the engine does not have one all together?

I know nothing about Patriots, but Google makes it sound like the VIN 8th digit W has the flow control and the VIN 8th digit B does not. If you're replacing a grenaded engine, the better question would be whether you can just swap over any engine accessories from the existing engine (like the manifold) to keep the config the same, etc.

I’ve been searching for all that information and cannot seem to find it. And that’s the first engine code of “W” I’ve seen.
