anyone recommend someone that can weld c's on my JK? I know I can take to a shop but was hoping to find someone that might be interested and experienced with handling while balljoints in. Removal seems to kill the price and I know it can be done without. Thanks.

If you dont find anyone there in Charlotte, we're in Hickory and we have done several of these, ball joint in.

How are you doing this without heating the C up enough to melt the plastic insert in the ball joint? I consider myself a decent welder and the only way I could see it being done is over a long period of time. Weld an inch and move to another knuckle. Let cool and repeat. I'd like to know for my own knowledge.

I always replace the ball joints, if you are having to put C gussets on the axle you should go ahead and put ball joints in. I have done many of these and will not even do it if they don't have new ball joints to replace them

No problem. Give me a shout. If I am not there, leave me a message or shoot me a message with your info here and we can set something up.
