So I heard a rumor that they are supposed to be building a cabelas between around mebane or burlington.
Anyone have any info on this?

There have been rumors about that for the last three years. I hope the rumors are true. There is no mention of it on Cabela's site though.

The big shopping center planed for where the Buckhorn flea market is shows "a large outdoor store like a Cabelas" on the plans.
 
After doing a little looking around today it seems that Cabela's has 9 stores slated to open with 4 of the 9 being "on hold". I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for an NC store to open.

Cabelas said they were coming to Four Oaks, NC about 2yrs ago, the land fell through from what I was told. Right on I95 south in Johnston County
