I am looking at the http://www.brooksidemountaincottages.com seem to be nice and the prices aren't bad. We are planing to stay Friday and Saturday night for the Toy Run at Callalantee in August.

I just wanted to see if there were any other options out there. I know the cabin at Callalantee is taken.

We would prefer a cabin type rental. Also anyone have any comments on the brookside cabins? I have heard the parking is tight, But nothing besides that.

Thanks, Again

We stayed there last year on Labor day weekend. The cabins are really small (we had 5 adult guys) but we made it work. We had #5 I think. There was one guy in the bedroom, on on the futon, two on an airmattress on the floor (after we moved the coffee table/chairs) and one small guy about 140# in the loft (it said 2 children 120# max but it worked out ok) There is literally no place for a truck/trailer there but we worked out a deal with the guy at the trails, basically we rented a campsite to park our three tow rigs/trailers on and drove the trail rigs to and from the cabin everyday. Its only about a 5 minute ride.

All that being said, we'll probably stay there this year if they're not booked up. We may try to get #3 this year I think its bigger than the others.

you need to ask adam. I think that was the name of the 1 they rented in dec. the 1 we stayed in would be ok your family.

we

stayed there and i thought it was hands down great .... it was just as advertised.... very nice will stay there again..if any thing just not much parking room if you have multiple trucks and trailers.. just my 2 cents ...

Stayed in those last year. We stayed in the Owl. We had 5 people in it pretty comfortably. The parking was pretty tight but there was only one other person staying at the cabins so it worked out pretty well. Not bad for the price and the closeness to the trails.

A few of us stayed at them last October. They are very nice cabins. A piece away from the trails and limited parking. (and I do mean limited!) We left our tow rigs at the campground and drove our wheelers (all street legal) to the cabins. Still kinda tight, but made it work.

Stayed there. Very small. Neighbor was pissed and had toilet seats up everywhere on trees. I found it humerous. Price was a little steep for how small the cabins were. Absolutely no privacy.

Good for guys weekend but not with the lady of choice...

My 2.
