Met up with lomodyj, awa0728, RQ and Chuckman at the campground and had a nice day of riding. Guess the H1 rims did fine cause the Chuckman was there! Nothing too eventful. RQ did snap a front driveshaft on the waterfall on Welder. Lots of water coming over it yesterday and it was pretty slick, it's also getting eaten out more at the bottom and the hole to the right of the logs on the right side is getting deeper. Did some clearing and lowmod did some mapping and marking of trails. A beautiful day for trail riding with a good group of guys!

we did welder today i bogged down goin up the waterfall and smashed my quarter panel up on the log layin on the right when i rolled back. that log is no longer there. :D got it the second try. good trail, but the rock gardens will be funner
 
Great pics John. What an attribute to ride behind you with the little lady snapping pics all day! What a great sport she was, just wish that I had pics of her expressions when you would hang a tire off of a cliff and she would look back for reassurance or HELP!

Great weekend of wheeling....I saved a lot of waypoints on my GPS and even managed to track a couple of trails. I am working on a map that more closely resembles reality than the crayon drawn one that is floating around.

Great wheelin' all weekend. Even if it did rain a bunch on Friday (yeah, I've got no top...). Had to avoid a lot of the hard/fun stuff cuz I ain't got time to break anything before JJUSA at Oak Ridge next weekend. We got a couple of trails (primarily Red) marked and a bunch of the area mapped in the GPS. But, I'm no where near getting it to look like a real map...Maybe by the end of June (2-3 more trips by then).

If anyone has gotten any of the area mapped via GPS and can get me a file or even a print out with coordinates on it, I could stand some help.
 
there is a guy in our club with GPS and map maker software ill see if we cant make a trip to help you out. what areas u lookin to get?

All of them. We are really trying to focus on getting a match with what is already mapped...I have a map (computer drawn) from about 4 years ago, and Minnie's crayola map. They don't exactly jive...and there are differences from the GPS. There are so many "trails" or skidder roads or ATV tracks that are not on the map, it makes it difficult to try and sinc it all together...you don't really know what intersection you are at much of the time.

I've gotten a couple of PM's saying they have some area's mapped on GPS...send me what you have to galen(at)mantadiver(dot)com. If I can, I'll try to get them all together and on a topo overlay...
