Anyone have a map of the Callalantee trails. I forgot to bring one home to scan and cannot find one on Google. Worked with the Carolina Trailblazers this weekend in preparation for the SFWD summer convention in June, http://www.sfwda.org/calendar.html , and cleared two new rock garden trails between the Red and Yellow trails. Just wanted to point them out to anyone heading up there.

All I know is that the one they give was drawn by someone without a GED! My two year old cousin could do better.

Sure would be awful nice if one of our CTB'rs would post one up! I'd heard rumors of them GPS'ing the entire place (possibly in connection with some ATV'r we met in Oct?), but have yet to see anything other than the outdated crayon scribble version. :(

While I agree the handout map is less than useless, I'm sure Minnie worked hard to draw it & is definitely proud of the accomplishment!

If I get ahold of one, will do! Biggest problem right now is the roads are changing weekly. They are logging all the time and trails are being closed/reopened etc almost on a weekly basis. CTB is trying to get them all "top shape" for the SFWDA event in June.

I loved the last one I got when we went. It was used by someone that was quite discriptive. It was littered with descriptions of the trail that were hilarious! "Be careful, this one's a doozie!" "Hang on to your britches!" and "Pretty Tough" amounted to a little mud. I wished I had kept it, we all found it amuzing. Fun place though.

Not so sure about that :) The map actually is what I was looking for, thanks. The 6 trail is newly marked on trees with orange spray paint. If you are at the intersection of Red and Yellow at marker 10, there is an unmarked trail between them uphill, not the downhill one (red on my edited map) in a little bit you turn right on what is obviously an old log road but has lots of green grass in it now (green on my edited map) you can't miss the left onto the rock trail blue on my edit) and it appears there are trees down ahead on the green. You can see the arrows on my edited map which brought us out at the Saw Mill. Anyone going up check it out!
