I've got a ~25ft fabric awning on the trailer. Three pole, manual, spring-loaded... pretty typical as far as I can tell.

I like folding it out just for the extra shade and weather protection, but always kinda worried about wind should a storm roll in. It takes a few minutes to fold it up, and inevitably, there's always something in the way (car, etc) that complicates quickly packing it up.

So... are there any awning accessories that help? The deflappers that go along both sides of the fabric? The spring-loaded hold-down straps that get staked down along the outside edge?

I agree with juiced coupe, but always tilt the awning so a sudden rain can get off quickly. Mine has hydraulic shocks that let it dump when it needs to. I watched it in a hard rain just to see if it would.
