I have only camped at URE a couple of times and I don't remember where we stayed, but where are the nicest places to camp there? I would like something with some scenery.

Where do you guys reccoment? I will be probably going up there sometimes in April.
 
Best spot is off the trail on Daniel, its a sweet spot. Though I am not good with directions, if we are ever up there at the same time I could show you. Most of the Friends of Uwharrie frequent this site too I believe.
 
X2 on the Daniel spot, just ride the trail, you'll see it. My favorite is on Falls Dam by the pits. I like to watch people plow into the mudholes.
 
I havent ever camped at the daniel spot but everytime i go i stay at the pits on falls dam but there are some really nice spots off the main road in down near deep water horse trail
 
We always stay on dickey bell but there isnt much to look at ... Its just down from the hill climb

I Like staying at badin lake campground just because you get best of both worlds!! We unload the jet skis and boat and ride them around to our camp spot next to the water, then when we wanna go riding we just ride the dirt roads over to the trails.
 
we usually stay just below rocky mountain loop off the trail, its easy to get to and you get to see the night wheelin and get to good spots for night wheelin
