thanks bro! gotta find some cheaper than that though...good lord $185 ea. hahaha
Stock Limited 4runner 5 stars... and with a 3rd gen 4runner that is THE wheel to try to clear 285s or 255s. Aftermarket wheels typically have too much backspacing for bigger tires. I have those wheels stock on my 2000 4runner.
Ex: I used to have 265/75s of a 16x9 with 4.5" BS, now I run 255/85s on that 16x7 with factory backspacing. I can clear a 285 on a factory rim (I've mounted it just to try, when I worked at a tire shop), but a 285 won't really clear on much else. <<<<Granted I do have adjustable struts in the front and OME coils in the back, but bottom line is that the factory wheels clear better.
The 4runner/tacoma wheels should have the larger center bore to fit over manual hubs. It's the GM wheels you have to watch out for with the smaller center bore. I think the newest Tacoma's went to the small center bore as well, or atleast the center cap looked pretty small on the set I looked at, but that is 05+? trucks I think.really appreciate the info fellas. If I find some they will be going on a first gen runner. Assuming they will fit? i just remembered the front will have locking hubs...i gotta switch gears again back to toys lol

Justin, the wheels should fit fine. I ran those Tacoma SR5 wheels on my last rig and the center bore cleared the hub.
