can you swap a dana 20 in the place of quadra trac?

anyone know for sure if you can remove the quadra trac transfer case from the turbo 400 ( is currently on a cherokee chief, 76 model i think )and install a different transfer case.....?
I have a dana 20 and turbo 400 already but the turbo 400 case is broken.

I thought I had read something where the turbo 400 that is mated with the quadra trac was not able to be swapped out,..?

Your rear axle should be off set with a quadra trac case. dana 20 has a centered output shaft.

as mentioned 20 is center Qtrac is offset.

Also th400 output shaft is 10.72" for a Qtrac. Nowhere near as long for D20

I know you will have to change you output shaft on the TH400

I was thinking that I would have to change the output shaft. Hopefully i can use the one from my other T400 that has the D20 on it.
