well looks like Im bringing home my canoe from boone this week for a cleaning an to outfit it better for next years smallmouth adventures. I like the idea of teathers on everything, but dont like bungee material, as hooks dig in deep easily. anybody got any good ideas for material that is strong/stretchable/and solid? perhaps a rubber cord? what about other accessories that youve seen that worked. Im not into things that 'look' cool, but what wil make my time on the water easier, safer, and most importantly keep my gear at hand. I fish a canoe and a kayak for smallmouth on the New, so I keep 4+ rods on board rigged and they need to be stored so they dont get lost in a tip. Im thinking about storage compartments and ways to keep things at hand.
the big idea would be to find a retractable anchor mount, that dang line gets into everthing!

I built my own anchor trolley with a pulley at the rear of the kayak and just a biner at the mid point. I can attach the pulley end to the front or rear, depending on whether I wanna be pointed upstream or down stream. The next mod I do is gonna be harmony's fishing dashboard to keep my lures at hand. Still havent done any rod holders yet though, I plan on using flush mounts. In a canoe I'd probably just make some from pvc with a small piece of bungee attached to the holder that could be pulled up and over the face of the reel to hold it in.

Nothin beats smallie and redeye fishin on the new!
