Carb Help

Will be the best mod you can do.

Will be the best mod you can do.

Outside of a TBI conversion... Just saying :D

Tater (my brother) had all the bits for a 2100 (rebuilt 2100/adapter/linkage kit) swap on his '84 258, but fell victim to how well the DIY TBI ran on my 304. Now, his 2100 junk is for sale and his CJ enters the garage in a few weeks for TBI!

X-2. Actually went to a Holley 2300, excellent responce.

Thanks, are there any out of the ordinary mods that have to be done or can the average person with a little experience tackle this project?
Did your mileage improve--I'm only getting about 12 mpg now.
Where did you buy the 2300?
Thanks again!!

search for "Nutter Bypass" on the net. Basically you will remove old carb and all the excess wiring, relays, computer and smog crap. Install adapter plate and carb. Block of vacum advance ( some say yes, some no. I did) there is one wire you have to jumper to bypass the computer coming out of the wiring harness ( purple I think.) It is all very clearly spelled out and pretty simple if you take your time. You will also have to re arrange your linkage cable bracket little bit. I got my carb at a salvage yard off a ford motor. I think AMC also used them as well.
