I recently placed an order for some shocks through Carolina truggies got an email a few days later saying they did not have them in stock, which was not mentioned on their website, they said I could pay extra shipping or wait two weeks so I said I would wait. Next day got another email its going to take two weeks for two shocks then another two weeks for two more or I can pay an extra $30 and get them in 5 days I replied if you'll pay the extra shipping I'll take delivery of the shocks or you can give me a refund they replied "your account will be refunded in 2 to 5 business days". That was in April, the money showed up a week ago. I WILL NOT ORDER ANYTHING from Carolina truggies again.

I haven't ordered from them so I can't really say, but after reading a lot of threads like this I have started calling places before ordering any parts to make sure they aren't on back order before I buy.

Have to ask, at any time did you pick up the phone, call CT and talk to anyone?

The internet is a crazy thing, sometimes messages get lost or the point is not made clearly.
I am biased as I know Alex and Jim personally and consider both friends...we all make mistakes and they are not exempt from that but this doesnt even sound like their way of doing business.

If there isnt a ton extra to this story that yoru not telling Ill be shocked.

no phone calls just emails. I know people make mistakes I just thought it was wrong how business was conducted.

I messaged Alex on here when I ordered my coilovers and wanted to get my air shocks tuned. I also made a phone call to complete the order and the next week they showed up. It was awesome service and an awesome price I have even called just for advice and they were always helpful. Story just doesn't seem to add up but I wouldn't hesitate to try them again. Maybe a lil more communication would get things sorted out.

A week ago huh....that's really interesting.
You should call your bank and figure out what the hold was, you know banks make mistakes too. Or...you could have called the vendor which is me to get some information about when the money was refunded or ask any question that you may have before you start bashing someone without any information about what's going on what so ever.
I can only help you if you let me know there is a problem which in this case there was and I was unaware of it. Also if you were that concerned about it you would have picked up the phone months ago and called me to see what was going on.

not blaming you for how long the money took i understand you cant contorl that just wish you could've explained to me what the deal was with your vendor of shocks why would you not lisdt them as out of stock on your website why you told me a few weeks then tell me its goning to be few weeks to get two then two more what kind of order did you place with them that they only can send two at a time.

You never asked so I didn't know that you wanted an in depth answer, you ask and you shall receive. At this point the answers don't matter and they aren't going to change the situation. Throughout all of this you could have easily picked up the phone and got all of your questions answered in less than 5 minutes but that must have been more inconvenient then starting this thread, instead of that you choose to get on a public forum and bash me. :shaking:

I ordered my shocks from Alex. My experience was way different. He ordered my shocks from fox and they had a lead time. I call a week after I placed my order and he followed up with Fox, when they extended the lead time he called another vendor that had a set in stock and had them shipped to me so we could make a race. He lost out on it because of consant communaction and talking about what was going on he did way more than most vendors would have done to make it right....

I have no personal experience with CT, but based on dealings I've had with other vendors you are overreacting. At least you received multiple emails telling you the availability of the part and what options you could take for faster shipping or a refund. Many companies would make you wait until it is in stock without ever updating you on the status of the order.

It is a pain to keep a website up to date on what is in stock. If you need to know before ordering you should call. The fact that you received an email saying they were out of stock is good customer service if you ask me.

I have always got excellent service from Carolina Truggies. Alex is always willing to give input and advice. All you gotta do is pick up the phone. No doubt they will always have my business.

I've purchased shocks from CT, and I'd do it again. I have also been by the shop a few times where I just had had questions about my project and Alex stopped what he was doing (he had a shop full of stuff he was working on) and talked to me about it all.

Two thumbs up for Alex and Carolina Truggies from me.

I have also had great dealings with Alex and CT. They have always answered the phone and my questions. They rank as high as ECGS and Oliver's when it comes to customer service with me!

I live in a glass house so, no stone chucking here. CT has always had a good reputation. Just sounds like a communication breakdown to me.

It's funny, it used to be people always complained about not being able to talk to a human being on the other end of a phone, but now people refuse to call and just want to text, e-mail or Face book message it seems.
