Should we start buying old 4.0 engines to have a spare, since junkyards could start loosing the number of old vehicals.

Who knows, the government may try to take them away, and force all old parts to be crushed.

I've gt a few with that have windows in the blocks....the later model ones had connecting rod issues.
I have 170,000 miles on mine, and I was thinking now would be a good time to maybe get a spare ready to drop in. Maybe build a 4.6 stroker.

There will be less and less out there.

Yeah, there will be less, but there are still going to be a shit ton of them out there.I have no idea of the production #'s from 91 on would total up to be, but all of those yj, xj, zj, wj, tj engines adds up to a near endless supply

from what i hear they are blowing up the engines and crushing the whole car, nothing is being saved... but thats just what I hear

part ture we have to blow up the engine and then they can sell non driveline parts but then is crushed or shredded

I think what he meant is that the recyclers aren't bothering to pull any parts, just recycling the whole rest???
That would be a waste indeed
