Cat question..........

yes

OK.........dang...........second question........how much is that going to cost me around Hickory?

3rd question.........doe's it have to have an air pump/exhaust manifolds?

I know a few nice SC guys who may let you use their addy to title...

Cat 'shouldn't ' cost more than $125, have no idea of your local market or the condition of you stuff.

As for the AIR, is has to be there and " APPEAR" to be working, meaning yes, you have to have the tubes, and the AIR pump, and it has to look like it works. They won't test it or put the sniffer on it, just has to pass a visual.

BUT, this is all subject to the perosn doing the inspection, I'm sure there is someone out there who does blindfold inspections and just slaps a sticker on anything that looks like it runs. Have no names, don't know anyone in your area ( or mine) surely you have friends in the biz.

Don, my 85 Chevy flatbed dually did not have a cat from the factory(high GVWR) and local DMV officer said I only had to have the air pump and the other crap on the motor. I bought the truck from SC. I did not put that crap back on it and found a friend that kept it current for me:D
