Yea, I got a couple at my apartment complex that will every now and then take up 1 1/2 spots. My solution, I park in that half spot and get mine between the lines so someone can use the whole spot next to me. My old 4runner is so beat up and ugly, they can door ding it while trying to get in their car and I don't mind.
 
I got a set of free cards from vistaprint that says "you're a douche" and we just leave them on the windshield wipers.

At my sons school they are the worse for this,so I always make sure and wedge in my 4dr F350 as close as I can and still be in my spot.More than once I have came back out and them be waiting for me to move so they can.
I had a guy at Best Buy park right on top of us and when we came back out I couldnt get into the ds.My wife put the car in N and I rolled it back so I could get in.I left the guy a note askin him to leave a can opener the next time he decided to park that close.
