I would like to buy a cheap CB radio and antenna. I would also like to attach a PA system. How would I do that and were is the best place to get a pa system?
thanks, Jake

sorry you can get a cb with built in pa all you do is add a external speaker if you dont get a matched cb and ant make sure you get a standing radio wave meter and tune the ant or you will damage the cb

Nobody likes that one dumbass with the PA that thinks it's funny...
Ever.

Just FYI.

:edit: as per the radio, the shack is a decent place...depending on what that location offers. There was a vendor on pbb that had really good prices as well as tweaked radios, might check there. Otherwise, make sure you read up on ant selection/location and tuning or find a knowledgable cb shop that will do it all for you.

Walmart...picked up a midland radio and love it. i also got several cobras there and am not as happy with them. either way, they are like 40 bucks.

Sometimes I wish I had a PA just so I could talk to people. My buggy is kind of loud so you have to really yell to be heard when it's running. To make things worse, I totally lack the ability to yell without sounding mad. I know, it's weird. But I can't raise my voice at all without people thinking, "What's that dude's problem?"

Anyway, I can understand the desire for a PA.

But with the PA you just wind up sounding like Charlie Brown's teacher.. at least if you're pissed off sounding, you're understandable.

i got my CB at walmart and i got the antenna at a local truck stop
