Cell phone found on Dickey Bell URE

Not sure where to post this but if any of you know someone who lost their cell phone at URE let me know. I'm taking it to get it charged now.
 
Just call home or mom when you get it charged. One or the other is always in the phone book.
 
If you take it to a store of thenetwork provider, they can look up the VIN and ID the owner.
 
It was an alltel phone so I took it to verizon (who bought alltel). At first the sales guy was resistant and said "we can only look at numbers in the phone". I told him thats all we need! As soon as we got power to the phone he called mom. The phone has been left at northgate verixon store in Durham. "mom" arranged a pick up.

I love verizon, they don't know their own system.
all they have to odis pull the battery off and look up the ID # on it, it's unique like a VIN. That will tell them who the owner is in their database. If it's a family/multiple phone plan, they could call an alternate number.
That's actually let "intrusive" than going through somebody's contact list, and often people have locks on their phones anyway.
Of course the problem is, many folks these days don't have any other number besides their cell phone so it could be hard to contact them, lol.
 
if anybody happens across a black fiberglass CB antenna out there around Dickey Bell, I've lost mine. as much as I hate to say it, I think somebody took it off my truck while I was asleep Saturday night. it was there when I parked it Saturday evening, and when I got to the double parking lot yesterday morning on my way out I noticed it was gone. I paid good money for that thing too. oh well. thanks guys.
