I'm looking at the same table. it will fit better in my shop than the table i built years ago. It has more features than i'll ever need but looks like a good table for all around fab and workbench duties.

Whats the difference in the table and block?

Whats the difference in the table and block?

No sides on the table so the supports are much smaller underneath (still has a certain flatness guarantee). Block has tall sides all around with the same holes to use with fixtures. You can custom order the table with a thicker top but standard is 3/16 vs 1/4 standard with the block (which can also be ordered with thicker top).

Mother in-law just bought the 2’x3’ pro table top for me for Christmas, $216 shipped to my door. My Mom called them and bought some accessories for Christmas presents too. Free T-shirt with each order. Not a bad Christmas this year.

I wouldn't trade my mother in law for anyone....sounds like you got a great one, too.

I'll trade mine cheap. What you guys got to offer?
I got the best mother in law of all.
She is a genie, I think. She lives in a brass jar on my sister in laws mantle.
We get along great these days.

For anyone in the market for the pro top versus the fab block... come off the coin ...and get the block.... defer a mortgage or car payment or something, and load up on clamps as well. The sides of the block are just as useful as the top!

I have plans to add either a 4x8 or 5x10 for chassis work. With the addition of the plasma table in the shop this week, fixturing should be faster, easier, and very efficient!

I want those Fireball tool squares more than the fab block! I think they will be one of my next tool purchases!

with the fireball squares, you can build square assemblies without a fixture table! these shoud be a first purchase...

Fireball will have some new stuff coming to market soon...perks of going to Fabtech 2018 in atlanta- along with getting my squares at a reduced show price, great guy to deal with and very resouceful person for knowing what a fabricator will use!

it was a long damn walk toting these four squares in my backpack and arms to get them to the van....at least 2 miles....

Would you be interested in adopting a 30 year old man child. I wipe my own ass.

If I just wanted a small fixture table, I would buy this. Comes with over 60 pieces for fixturing.

The school I teach for has two....the tops are indestructible. The tools aren't janky. It will also work with any of the other industry standard stuff. The cart isn't junk but the shelves and peg board combo doesn't fit the needs very well.

@BigSouth has yours arrived? I just got my 3x4 Pro table and leg kit (the discount covered most of the leg kit). Top and top supports come sandwiched between two wood 2x4s running both long sides of the table top. You'll need a T25 bit and 1/2" socket to get the eight screws and four bolts out of the wood frame. I still need to source the u-bolts and straps in order to put it together. As it sits currently, there is an almost 1/4" gap in the middle that will need to be taken out during assembly (was expecting some bow due to their FAQ page).

If I am able to get it flat and find I use fixturing on it much, I will probably take a look in a year or so at one of the small fab blocks.

Box showed up about 2 days ago, but I’ve been dared not to touch it (Christmas present :shaking:). I’ll post up when I do crack it open. I’m dying to get my little cart built out so I can stop welding on my hands and knees.

Another example of the use of fab block side skirts. Sure I could have clamped flat to the table, but it would have been near impossible to tack both sides of that 3/4" wide strap with one edge flat on the table... and still apply pressure to the strap to maintain the profile.
