thanks

From now on we are going to have a meet and greet on the first and third friday of every month at 7:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.
The location is still at the uncc parking lot on the corner of 49 and john kirk across from the Circle-K gas station. you can see the parking lot easily from the road.
Post up any questions or ideas you have about the meet.

So how do i get thirty guys/ rigs to come out?
This is my big question to everyone. Every meet we have ten to twenty people come out, everytime. But that's it. I feel this event could be so much bigger, easily. Charlotte is a big town and the location is pretty dang good. Thirty rigs is nothing. So lets here some promotion ideas and some commitments to come out. I want to set this goal, thirty rigs.

What kind of rigs do you all have, Id like to come but dont want to be outdone at the early stages of my build.

There are rigs of every kind there. everything from 2" BB and 31s to full widths and 40s. Everyone is more than welcome and wont feel outdone! If you like to wheel, thats all that is needed! Come on out and chek it out! Hey John, I should be out there this friday in the jeep finished on 40s, are we still planning atrip to Tellico soon?

Food and bevs are allowed, probably not alcohol though, ive talk with a lot of different people there from campus police to events staff to the parking lot patrol and they all think the meet is pretty cool. If you guys have any specific request let me know and ill check into them for you. But let me state the race car guys(hpa) got banned from meeting there for street racing so please remember its a privlage to used there lot.
Second there are all types of rigs that show up ranging from tubed out truggies to stock whatevers. There are a ton of Xjs(woohoo) tjs, yjs, a random assortment of yotas and even some full sizes trucks. I think ive seen at least one of everything there. The biggest run 36's. Some people even come in their car and tow rigs because their in the middle of a project.

this weekend we're going to the glutches(or how ever its spelled) offroad park in sc. its on sunday and its free for the day if you get a waiver from me, ill bring a bunch. then next weekend we are doing the farm which is in linconton, i think thats five bucks. so the meet will be a good time to find people to ride with and such.

hey adam i actually put those backwards. the farm is this weekend (thanks jeff) and the sc offroad park is next, sorry.

Cool, I wont be able to make the Farm this Sat, but should be able to make the Gultches next weekend. Can I get that waiver Friday from you?

please don't feel outdone by having a stock/stockish jeep. at least you're into offroading and not trying to put on 20" chrome rims.... anyway, remember, most of us started with exactly that, a stockish jeep. i built my cherokee buggy from scratch and i'm just now finishing it. not to mention this is a great way to find people that have parts, can help you build what you want, etc

by the way i'll be at the farm friday-sunday. everyone come give me a shout. white f250 turbo diesel with a black xj buggy.

I appreciate the words of encouragement. I am actually about to purchase either a 4.5" or 6.5" long arm kit for my ride, havent decided which. Like everyone else i got the fever, tired of dragging tcase skids on little hills at URE. So hopefully after i get that done i'll fit in a little better, ill try my best to come friday.

promotion of meet and greet

what if everyone that wants to, nobody has to, put up $5.00 and draw a name for it, could help with some gas/beer or what ever you run on????? :driver:

my sister just did this dog race comp. she went around to a bunch of places and said hey ill put you logo on my flyer if you donate some crap and she got tons of stuff. we could do that for just regular companies or offroad and auto companies. we could then do give aways for people that show up or a raffle to save money for a rti....

i just think that we would need more people to show up (with proof) before all these guys start dishing out their stuff.

I just might go.
No mud tires for the streets. I'm not crawling pavement you know? Plus I'm there to shake hands with a few 'heep' owners.
JK
Its always nice to meet some folks to go wheelin no matter what you drive.
can't find John Kirk on this map.
help me out. I used to live up University - feel stupid now.

Is it this Friday? What time?

It's at 7, and its a great place to meet some people. John I'm still not sure if I'm going to make this Friday, I may be heading to The Farm to see if I can break something.

Damnit...can't go this weekend...have to work. I will try to get to one of these events...especially since I live 10 minutes away from UNCC.

on the map you linked John Kirk Dr is labeled E Mallard Creek Church Rd, so parking lot 4a is actually at E Mallard Creek and N Loop Rd (on your map)
