...But you can't have any.
So the story is, I stop for gas on Western Blvd. in Raleigh, near Mission Valley.
I take the gas pump, stick it in my Jeep, begin pumping, and walk inside the station to get a drink. When I come back out I see that it has stopped on $5.53. Assuming that I had gotten another pump that likes to cut out while I pump, I squeeze it again, bang- it stops. squeeze, bang, stops. Over and over until I get to $6.00 worth. I figure that the next pump will work fine so I close out this pump, and wait for the girl at the pump in front of me to finish.
Then I see she is stuck at around $4.00, trying to get it to work. Without either of us thinking to check the gallons pumped, I walk inside to tell the guy his pumps don't work.
He then proceeds to look at his computer, say, "OH NO!" and shuts off all the pumps, including the ones running on two more customers who pulled up. Somehow he had the pumps priced at THIRTY THREE CENTS A GALLON!
Sure enough, I look at both my pump and receipt, and they confirmed that I got 17.696 Gallons of gas for $6.00!
The girl was paying in cash, so she got her price corrected. I had already charged a card though. $0.339 Cents per gallon makes my jeep happy.
