I'm looking for a set of wheel spacers/adapters, would like to do it as cheaply as possible.

Anyone got any bright ideas or know a place that sells them relatively cheap?

There is no adapter to from 5x4.5 to 6x5.5. Due the difference in spacing there is no way to make it. You can send your axles to Moser and they can redrill them to the correct pattern for $80 and redrill the drums or rotors for another 60. Thats still cheaper than most quality spacers.

This place seems to have them.

Yeah, they definitely exist. Thanks lbyota, I guess I'm just being stubborn, I can dump $200 in spacers and keep the wheels/tires I got or I can put that money towards swapping in a 6 lug up front... Decisions decisions.

amajeep, is that $80 to do a set of shafts or $80/side? I could get the axles drilled and then see if I can find a rotor from another application that fits. If ZJ rotors fit that'd be nice, I have those on the XJ already. Thanks for the help guys.

Edit: Looked it up on moser's site, $80 to plug & redrill a pair of axles isn't bad at all. Probably end up going that way.

The only way to properly do a 5x4.5 to 6x5.5 adapter would require a 2 piece construction, or a very thick spacer (over 2") and a lot of fancy machining.

I see why you're saying that, but a little google search will show you that there are companies selling them.

Either way, $80 to have moser plug and drill the axles is cheaper than 2 adapters so that's the way I'll go. It'll be super awesome if the wms & calipers play nice with some OEM rotors from another 5x4.5 application.

I am aware of this, but most of them don't mention that you have to bolt your spacer together. If there is one that is made from a single piece, I would like to take a good look at it.

If the single piece units weren't $$$ or freakin 5" thick I'd be surprised. I'd definitely noticed that they weren't showing pics of them, I was assuming they were gonna be 2 piece. XJ doesn't see the road but once in a blue moon so I wasn't too concerned about that.

Original question wasn't "are these adapters a fairy tale?" it was "help me get from x bolt pattern to x the cheapest" and getting the axles modified will be cheaper to be sure. Thanks again for the help guys.
