I think I want to get new tires. I want a high quality tire, so I have been looking at the Goodyear MTR. It's for a jeep mostly on the road. The solid tread in the middle will be good for the road and the agressive tread on the edges will be good offroad. I'm open for other suggestions, but I don't want a generic tire that doesn't last.

My real question is where if the cheapest place to get them? I'd prefer local like sams club, but all the local guys are higher then add tax and it's much higher. Discount tire direct has them for $209 each with free shipping and that seems to be the cheapest I can find.

strangely enough, Wal-Mart.

I just saw the MTR like 3 days ago at my local wally world for 133 a tire. This was at 31"

EDIT*

Actually, I imagine it was the Goodyear Wrangler Authority....

treadwright has that pattern, check them out, save some cash, go green
i run them on my superduty ...will never buy new again

"Rides" in Conover!

In my opinion MTRs are terrible on the road, had them on my TJ when i bought it and got rid of them with in 2 weeks. BFGs are great on and off road and about the same price as MTRs
