Cherokee Transmission?

So I was wondering what's trans I have in my xj, So I went and looked at it and ran the number and it seems I have a 2wd aw4 in a 4wd Cherokee. I just thought it was funny and wonted to see what you guys think.

why are you saying it's 2wd?

Because when i type in the 30-43le it comes up as a 2wd aw4 tranmission

and it should be 40-30LE for 4wd

Its possible the PO swapped in a 2wd tranny. It takes a little work, from what I've read, actually a lot to get the 2wd tailshaft out and replace it with 4x4 output.
