I have a 1984 Chevy k5 with a 700r4 and 208 transfer case. I have the blazer for sale, but if it does not sell I was thinking of swapping in a set of 3/4 tons.

1) Would the drivesaft bolt right up to the 10bolt front and 14 bolt rear?

2) Would the brake lines screw right in as-is?

3) Would the driveshaft issues be any different if I swapped in a th350/205 combo?

4) If I switched to a 205 tcase would there be any problems with the front axle since it does not have lock out hubs? I would keep the blazer in 2wd until I swap in a 44/10 bolt upfront with lock out hubs.

5) If I lifted the blazer 4in would the driveshafts need to be adjusted, or is there enough play in them to still work? I know I would switch the steering arm, brakelines and shocks

Thanks alot
Chad

See my response in your other thread, but....

1) Would the drivesaft bolt right up to the 10bolt front and 14 bolt rear?

You *may* have to change ujoints...nothing more ($10 and 20 minutes)

2) Would the brake lines screw right in as-is?

Again, depends on years etc, worst case you change rubber lines $20

3) Would the driveshaft issues be any different if I swapped in a th350/205 combo?

Yes 350 is shorter than 700 and 205 is shorter than 208...rear needs to be shortened and front needs to be longer.

4) If I switched to a 205 tcase would there be any problems with the front axle since it does not have lock out hubs? I would keep the blazer in 2wd until I swap in a 44/10 bolt upfront with lock out hubs.

205 is a part time case as well...no issues there, no need for lock outs

5) If I lifted the blazer 4in would the driveshafts need to be adjusted, or is there enough play in them to still work? I know I would switch the steering arm, brakelines and shocks

I swapped a 14b and 10b in my 89 w a 700r4/241 and i had to chane out the rear u joint to a conversion joint, i think saginaw3r/1330. so far i've lifted the front 6" and about to get started on the rear. my brake lines did not match up so i still gotta do something about that
