I have a 1984 Chevy k5 with a 700r4 and 208 transfer case. I have the blazer for sale, but if it does not sell I was thinking of swapping in a set of 3/4 tons.
1) Would the drivesaft bolt right up to the 10bolt front and 14 bolt rear?
2) Would the brake lines screw right in as-is?
3) Would the driveshaft issues be any different if I swapped in a th350/205 combo?
4) If I switched to a 205 tcase would there be any problems with the front axle since it does not have lock out hubs? I would keep the blazer in 2wd until I swap in a 44/10 bolt upfront with lock out hubs.
5) If I lifted the blazer 4in would the driveshafts need to be adjusted, or is there enough play in them to still work? I know I would switch the steering arm, brakelines and shocks
Thanks alot
Chad
