I'm the same way and back in college I borrowed a friend's '96 camaro. No denying it was just fun to drive, period. I've never been crazy about the looks but that one's clean as hell. No question about whether or not it'll be a fun car.

i'm scared to even ask what they asked for that......they're INFAMOUS for having nice stuff that carries a premium price. my late friend Tim lived near that place...and we'd go by on the way to RLZ occasionally just to see what they have...first place i ever saw a new ford GT

Yea it wasnt to cheap for a 97. I looked at a few 04-05 cars and trucks that wernt as clean and had more miles so i pulled the triger. It was worth the trip over there to look at there cars..They have a sweet sweet Cobra R..maybe when i win the lotto. Also many HD bikes. Ive never seen or been to a dealer where you can test drive a Hd bike, Cobra, saleen,Zo6, lighting, Dually on 22.5's to 67 mustangs and 40ish coupes
all in one day at one stop.

Found the rev limiter yet? The 97's came with it stock, I've got that exact engine in my jeep:wheel:

My dad had a 99 that was pretty bad. If it is a strait drive, does it have the skip shift still operational? What about the exhaust? The old man's had a single 3 1/2 pipe all the way back which kinda make it look like a 6 banger. Fun car to pick on Mustangs with!

yea its 6 speed. Had to look up what skip shift was...Ive seent the light allready a few times but dont have trouble busting it into second so i dont know..ill have to look into that. Exaust is from slp..Its got a decent sound.

Clean LT1 car Corey. Guess now we know what you spent that money on :)
Yea. I looked at a few vans like i told ya about but couldnt do it

Looked at a few mustangs but the cobra and etc like i wanted were outa my range and couldnt buy a GT knowing the camaro could rape it.:shaking:

Better buy a spare opti now.. ;)

He's talking about the Opti-Spark, it's the ignition system on LT1's. They are known for giving problems because they are located on the front of the engine underneath the waterpump. What happens is the waterpump starts to leak and it drips onto the Opti-Spark and causes it to go out.

Changing spark plugs is a major PITA. If I remember correctly, I think most shops consider it a 3 hour job.

Headers make it MUCH easier.

There's still a few LT1's in our club, one of them a nasty procharged 383..

I'll be watching for them in the for sale section next week:flipoff2:
