How long are your Chevy TPMS sensors lasting? I have a 2015 truck that is getting new tires with only 33k miles, and am debating whether to buy a new set of sensors or just roll the dice and see if the existing sensors last the life of the new set of tires (Defender LTX is the new set). OEM sensors are about $37 each from RockAuto, so it's a little bit of money ($150) but not enough to cheap out if there's a good reason to purchase.

Any thoughts?

Just put new tires on the wife's 14 Suburban.
It had 110k miles on it and still had 3 of the original OEM sensors (the one that was replaced was because she was hit and it busted a wheel)

I elected to replace at that time because...why not.
I wish I had a 3 year old truck with 33k miles....that would be a dream.

We don't usually replace them at work unless it's already bad when it's time for tires. If someone has one go bad we can usually just break one bead, swap in a new sensor and get them back on the road for 0.5 hrs labor. Usually don't even have to rebalance since one bead stays on the tire doesn't even spin on the rim.

A decent shop will have a tpms tool that can tell if batteries are OK or low. I'd only replace if they are showing low.

I probably wouldn't even bother with that unless they were leaking. I would usually do them every other set of tires.
