Couple of Thoughts....
1) A coupel of years ago (2006) we adopted a couple families for Christmas and tried to make a difference in some local folks lives who had fallen on hard times.
Is there enough interst to bring this back this year?
Does anyone have someone close who could use a hand up this year? Obviously kids have a special place in all our hearts but Im not sure they are "required"
Thoughts? Feedback?
2) Similar but less noble, A couple other sites I frequent are doing secret santa type deals where folks sign up and do an anonymous gift exchange. We set a dollar value $25-$30? and interested people post up and no one knows who theur gift is from only who they gave to.
Same questions.
Anyone interested?
Input on $ value (25-30 good, too low too high? thoughts)

I think it's a good ideal, but I think we should help our own.Meaning somebody on this board,I'm sure somebody here has fallen on hard times.
My wife works for JD and they have at least 7 people that are out of work with cancer(no kidding). They are shoving the angel tree on em(which is not a bad program) but will not do anything for the one's that are having a hard time that work there and have had to be off work(some for months at a time). So alot of the employee's there are trying to do for those people by taking up money to give them to do with as they need, upper mang. is not liking this because it does not make the papers like them doing for the Angel tree,or United Way(another good program)
The point being is that the employees are wanting to help the people they work with and they know need it.
As far as a gift exchange most people have what they need and alot of us have most of what we want.

I thought we were doing that for kc4x4

I can't find the thread right now, but I thought Kevin has specifically asked that we not do it for his family.

Set up a pay pal addy. I will donate

I will gladly donate, I know times are tight for everyone, but I'll be glad to help all that I can.

Again, I think it is just really great how everyone can come together on here to help out our Fellow Wheelers.
