I have a bds 4" lift on my 78 cj5. I put on a dropped pitman arm and now the drag link is hitting the springs when i flex. Has anyone on here ever flipped the tie rod and dlink to the top of their knuckles. If this can be done cheap that would be great. If not Ill just throw the stock pitman back on for now. If anyone has ever flipped these do you have the reamer still??
 
Yes you can do this - sorta.

You can't just ream the knuckles and flip them. The holes will be too big.
But you can either use FS Waggy linkage which has a larger taper on the TREs

or

Go to DOM tube and 1 ton TREs

Or

Goferit sells Tie Rod Flip Inserts
