CJ replacement springs

I've got a cj frame that the po started a shackle reverse on the front and I think he said it was set-up for yj springs. Does that sound correct? I know the spring bracket is wider than the stock CJ front spring. Whats my options.

YJ springs are a very popular swap on CJ's.

YJ springs are 2.5" wide on all 4 corners. The SOA sounds about right because YJ springs are pretty flat.

About 3" wide counting the bushings. Never heard of a shackle rev. on a jeep. The shacks are already where they need to be. The leaf spring swap is common, I'd finish whatever you need to on the laef swap takin in to consideration what all you might do after that.

I've kicked around changing it back but I've heard it makes them drive better. I'm still on the fence.
