cj springs v's yj spring

YJ's are longer, wider, softer, flexier and typically newer than CJs.
Better? I dunno... I guess it all depends on what you want your suspension to do.

I have CJs under my Samurai now.
I have had a set of YJs for my Samurai for 2 years ... eventually I might see a need to use them.

pre-76 CJ springs..I dunno, I think they are 2" wide on all 4 corners, not sure though.

76-86 CJ springs are 2" up front, 2.5" in the rear.
87-95 YJ springs are 2.5" wide on all 4 corners.

YJ springs are relatively flat, 76-86 CJ springs have more arch to them stock. I think both come in 5 and 7 leaf packs, depending on...I dunno, hardtop/softtop? I think YJ springs may be a hair longer than CJ springs, but I see people using them interchangeably (CJ front needs adapter shackles to fit 2.5" wide).

I'm pretty sure 2 or 4 of my stock CJ springs are under Lilzook's rig :huggy:

Yep.
In some form or another they all probably are under there. But I've ended up with a "hybrid" set, front and rear, using leaves from all 4 stock Sami and all 4 CJ packs.

The YJ springs wear out too fast. I would use rear cj springs for front and back.
