CJ5-AMC 360 ISSUE

I have a 1976 CJ-5, I am Dropping in a AMC 360 Eng from a Jeep Waggy.

For some reason the Eng with the new CJ5 Eng Mnt pads will not fit. into the CJ-5.

I am perty sure that the Frame mnts are for a AMC 304 V-8.

Has any one had this issue or knows of some one who has, and has been able to fix this issue, or knows something that I clearly dont.

ALSO LOOKING FOR amc 360 Oil Filter / Oil Pump gear housing assy. and a AMC 360 Rght side stock Exhost manifold.

Well, if you pulled it out of a wagoneer the motor mount brackets are different so you will need to get some off of a 304. The brackets I'm talking about are the ones that bolt to the motor then you bolt the motor mounts to them.

where would I get a Eng Side, Motar mnts brackets for a 304 ???

And I am interested in the Passinger manifold....
what would you want for them ????

All of the AMC 304/360/401 V8's are externally identical so you can swap most external parts and accessories from one to the other.

Are you guys referring to the block standoffs being different between the CJ's and the FSJ's? I didn't realize that.

I should have some for a CJ if you need them.
I also have some good front covers and exhaust manifolds.

I would be interested in the Mnts, and oil pump / oil filter cover, the part the monts to the Timing chain / Water pump / oil pump cover. ( The part that the Oil filter gets screwd too ).

You need CJ V8 brackets and mounts. They will run you $100 anywhere you look. Ebay is a good place to start. All the brackets from the wag. will not work. Just did this swap myself.
 
Just got in from work. I was thinking about this last night. If you are going stock, I may have the mounts you want/need sometime real soon. If it's for a trail rig, you may need to do what I am about to do and make some. The problem I am having is loads of torque, decent power, and a heavy foot. I am ripping the stock rubber motor mounts the first time I get on the trail.
 
I verified that I do have the correct motor mount standoffs for a CJ. They appear to have a couple extra holes, but they aren't hacked up and should work just fine. $75 delivered to your door step. You can click on the link in my sig for contact info if interested.
I will only sell a complete timing cover. Sorry.
