A buddy of mine just brought home what he told me was a 1965 Jeep. I went to look at it this evening and it had Tuxedo Park Mark IV on the hood. After some research I found out it is a CJ5A. I had not heard of this model and it looks to be kinda a rare bird in the overall Jeep build.Just seeing if anyone else has heard of them.

There were a few of those Tuxedo Park packages in the early years. Definitely worth a bit more to those that care. It was largely a trim package to spruce up the "universal" Jeep.

They are relatively rare. They pretty much were a CJ5 with chrome and other add ones, i think the column shift is one of the rarer features on them since the CJ5 didnt have it. If it has all the trim then it is a good thing to restore, but if it was stripped, then pretty much it is just a CJ5. Some of the peices can be hard to find.

www.earlycj5.com has alot of info there.

Still has the column shift in it. It is in bad shape overall though. The hurricane 4 banger is supposed to run it it and it does have the optional heater still in it. I will know more on it later as I will probably end up working on it. First thing is to find a radiator for it. After more research the Mark I II and III were fancy CJ5's. The Mark IV was badged as a CJ5A.
