Well CNC4x4 went to Harlan this past weekend and we had a blast.

we had 5 trucks and trailer pulling rigs.. rented a house in town and played all weekend .. with a little recovery, a little wrenching, etc :)

The gist.. Harlan is a blast with mild to very hard trails..

I will add a more detailed write up later, but everyone likes pics and vids.. so here are some vids to start with



 
Harlan when wet is really tough.. I was denied on the middle rock garden, lions den, and crawfords cry. There was some great trial riding on sat. We were caught in a rain storm on the way to the upper rock garden, at one point it was like wheeling in the clouds.

Dairy Hut has some great Milk shakes, if you want a reaction ask for the nacho cheese milk shake. There is a new BBQ place that has opened next to the car wash. The grill master came by when we were using the car wash and offered some ribs. Very good ribs, we will stop in next time we are there...


cant wait to go back.
 
Great footage guys. That Toyota flop looked harder than I though it was gonna be.
Started out slow, but all of a sudden it picked up speed and flopped hard.

we stay in a house on main rd coming out trail head.
near funeral home and old train station
 
Sorry I couldnt make it. I really felt bad about double booking this weekend but I didnt realize that my wife had scheduled our family vacation for the same weekend. It probably works out for the best though, John would have felt bad when I showed him up on 31's! LOL
 
I think it was black mountain rentals. nice place, price was right, good location.


shawn, your toe jamm is kickin. I just started building the itis to run with the toe jamm should be interesting.
 
What was up with the camera focus after the flop? Are you shooting for plausible deniability for John?

Nicely done Mr. Carter, you know we sound like a couple of schools girls giggling when Black Bear flopped :lol:
In the last video it's funny to hear John shift gears and watch his tires come to a complete stop in between shifts :D
