I need someone to install oversized coil springs on my truck in or around Charlotte. They need to have a spring compressor. I dont know if i need to go to a off road shop or just a regular goodyear or something, i guess whoever will do it cheaper. Does anyone have any recomendations? Also, how much do you think this type of installation would cost?
Thanks

Any drop brackets? 3" springs will make a ttb ford a bitch to align. As far as installation goes a rental compressor, a few hours, and possibly a helper if the compressor won;t quite get it should get them in without major issue. A prybar and a hammer are normally enough to get the springs in for a 6" kit with no compressor if you have a littel patience teh first time around.

You can get more aggressive O-cams from Ford to align the front end but I'll aggree with Dave on the need for brackets, and the lift will function better. Still no compressor needed. Undo swaybar, shocks, and hang the caliper out of the way. Place big foot on hub press down, insert spring, Loosening the rear radius nuts allittle will help along with the drive shaft. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 150$ for the work if it isn't going to be aligned.
