I need to buy 2 14" coilovers. What brands should I stay away from? What brand is the best value? Where is the cheapest place to get them? I'm putting them on a tube buggy with Chevy 350, 60's, and 44's. What rating springs should I get? If it matters any I do just to jump it and abuse it. Do I need remote reservoirs? Should I consider ORI struts?

I would stay away from FOA. Give Rides or Metalwerx in Hickory a call. They can get ORIs or coilovers. Metalwerx also can with the rig for springs. Carolina Truggies is a Fox dealer and can help with tuning and Springs.

Do you know the weights? That would help for the spring rates.

If you are planning to do high speed stuff I would go remote resi.

There are pros and cons for ORIs. But you don't need to buy Springs just adjust the nitro. They do take a larger space on the rig though

Need unsprung and sprung weight to help narrow down the springs

Can't beat the quality and price of Fox coilovers. I'm still playing with spring rates on my 16's front and rear so i can't be of any help there. Since you're looking at 14's you'll have a better choice of spring rates and brands than you would with 16's. (14's need 16" lower springs and 14"uppers)

You can buy the whole package from me, Fox coil overs, Pac Racing springs and valving. We build and tune shocks on a daily basis and have a couple springs laying around.
