I have a cold air intake kit for my 04 I'm just wondering before I go through all the install if it's worth it ?? Will there be any problems with stream crossings with the open element air filter ???

i have one on my 97 TJ. I have the whole set up with the heat shield and everything, and i haven't had any problems with it. *knock on wood*

Me too

Got one on my TJ too. Sounds real sweet when driving (the whistling sound). Kinda drives my wife crazy, she thought there was a cricket in the Jeep the first time she heard it. Lol.

haha, thats funny. People riding in my jeep think i have a big vacuum leak b/c it sounds like it around 1800-2500rpm. i didnt notice any gains in HP or torque but it sounds nice, even tho i wasn't going for the sound in the first place.

Mine is mounted under the cowel by the windshield wiper motors. Water has to get all the up to there to get near my filter.

I built my own for like $45.

Because of the tube fenders, there wasn't enough room for the stock airbox. So I picked up a few universal parts at Pep Boys and it hasn't given me any problems- rain or water crossings.
