No doubt about it, a lot of schools have decided to shed their coaches. This thread is about discussions and predictions concerning this.
1. East Carolina - HC skip holtz left for USF - I think Tommy Bowden or Mike Leach would fit perfectly. Leach could bring his former Defensive Coordinator, Ruffin McNeill, (who is a ECU alum) to fill Greg Hudson's spot since he left for Florida State. Leach's spread option would be nasty with our plethora of running backs and our new transfer QB Dominque Davis from BC. I've heard speculation that ECU isn't interested in hiring anyone that doesn't have head coaching experience.
2. Tennessee - HC Lane Kiffin left for USC - Another option for Leach or Bowden.
3. Florida - HC Urban Meyer is questionable - I think they'll try and find a coach-in-waiting if it becomes clear that Meyer's health is a big problem. I look for them to turn to Arkansas' Bobby Petrino (who will clearly leave in a heartbeat).
4. Marshall - HC Mark Snyder fired - Honestly, Marshall can't afford to be too picky. Snyder will make a good DC somewhere, but is a terrible head coach. I wonder if they'll pull Dave Wommack from GT or another coordinator from a BCS conference seeking a HC job.
