I am trying to transfer my company file fom Quickbooks onto a different computer. Ie i have a new computer and loaded quickbooks on it, now i want to be able to open my old file on new computer. I tried to write it to a CD but it says it is read only, when i try to change from read only it says i am not allowed. Surely there is a way around this.

i backed it up to a cd and then i restored on the new computer and that worked. thanks for the offer.
