I am not sure about other Interco Tires but 2 different sets of TSLs I have had measured 2/32nds less than what they were listed as in the center tread. They do measure as listed on the outer tread. The sets of tires were the 33x12.5-15 TSLs and the 34x9.5-15 TSLs. The 33x12.5s had 22/32nds in the center (vs 24/32nds listed), and the 34x9.5s had 25/32nds in the center (vs 27/32nds listed).

Well I got around to measuring the new 34x9.5-15 I picked up from 4WP and it actually measures 27/32nds from the center. Let me say I haven't had any big issues with the 2/32nds less thing. Swampers are awesome tires, and they do measure 27/32nds from the outside lugs. But I must say congrats to them for putting those last 2/32nds on the tire and actually ending up with 31/32nds on the outside lugs.

The economy must be getting better. The manufacturers are actually giving us what we pay for!

ever heard of Lowest Common Denominator?:beer:

BTW, another congrats to Interco! The reason their "bigger LTB" is pretty much not available right now is because they are moving the molds/tooling from China back to the USA!!!

The biggest congrats I give to Interco is actually making tires in sizes/price range that folks without 18" wheels, race budgets and sponsorship can afford. I was at the Dixie Run a few years back with a few other BDB members and met Gary Enterline from BFG. He asked why non of us had BFG's on our buggies. Giving an honest answer, we quickly said; "you folks don't make tires that people can afford, you don't make them in the sizes that your average wheeler uses and you don't make anything over 42". He said they would never make a tire over 42" and that was the end of the conversation.

If interco had 6 people call them and say they wanted a 43X10.50X15 TSL, they would probably make a run of them. That's a little overboard, but listening to their consumer is Interco's best attribute.

Another Note about Interco. They have a "Small Family type" mentality when it comes to customers. I got Mr. Interco on the phone one day to talk to him, and he was great to talk to. Listened to what i had to say and gave me an upfront and appreciated opinion on the matter. Even though I didn't get what I needed, he still made me feel good about my phone call. He had better shit to do than listen to me. but he did.

@ Those with the clever comment(s) about my original post, every 32nd counts when you drive on the tires every day. I am averaging 1k miles to every 32nd of tread, so that means I will be getting 2k miles more out of the tire. Considering I travel 6k miles a year, that does make a big difference. In reality if I traveled any more miles a year it wouldn't be cost efficient to dd a bias ply tire.

Interco is a great company and I will be buying their tires for a long time, and like I said I have no big problem with when they did put 2/32nds less. Its just good to see you are getting your every dollars worth out of their tires. Last time I checked the way things are still going in the economy people are still trying to make their dollar go further.
