Anyone here wear contacts with bifocals? I'm sick of wearing glasses and want to try contacts. Only issue there is i will need bifocals too, unless i wear readers. I'd like to avoid that if i can. I wear safety glasses all the time at work and it would be nice to get back into standard ones.

No particular help since I just wear regular contacts and use readers if needed. I will say I just recently discovered safety glasses with readers built in.

My wife has them, but she also has astigmatism, so that adds to the fun. She hates them if she has to use the computer for a long period of time - they give her a headache. It is kinda funny to watch her because she will close one eye to read stuff. She will wear her glasses if she will be in the office all day working on the computer, but if she is working with kids, she will wear them because a lot of times the kids she works with will try to grab her glasses. One broke a pair she was wearing and she was about blind without them. Scary day until she could get them fixed.

Those type of contacts didn't exist when I first met her. I didn't know until our second date that she even wore glasses, let alone a strong Rx. Pleasantly surprised that she continued to date me when she could actually see what I looked like! I've always had perfect vision until I hit 45. Then all the sudden I need 1.75 readers for anything smaller than 12 point text.

I have astigmatism and use RGP contacts. once I needed readers, I just got a set I keep on my shirt all the time like a nerd, put them on when I need to read stuff. I've though tabout adding bifocals but mever got around to it.

A bit ago I broke one of my RGPs and decided F-it and try life w/ my thick-ass glases for awhile. Not having contacts at all has been nice but I forgot how much heavy glasses suck when you sweat outside.

Honestly, it's the sunglasses thing that bothers me the most. I know i can get prescription, but then i have to carry two pairs all the time. I do that anyway and it sucks. I don't need glasses 60% of the time. I have a light prescription and then a little more for the bifocal. This hit me around 36 and it's been getting worse over the last several years.

I have RX Costa sunglasses and I won’t ever be without. They are awesome, got first pair in 2011.

Wife wears bifocal contacts and loves them.

I wear Maui Jim sunglasses and love them. Hard to swallow $600 prescription lenses though. That's the retail on their site though.

Glad your wife likes them. I have an appt next week. We'll see how it goes.

I've had them in the past, but couldn't see real good up close or real good at a distance. I switched to contacts for distance and keep reading glasses around and always carry a pair with me. Buy them cheap at dollar general. Makes my grown kids laugh when I get my specticales out to read a menu
