I know they make them, i used to have one in the back of my jeep to mate a 1310 driveshaft to a chevy axle. My question is this: do they make a 260-297 joint that will let me run dana 44 outers on a dana 30?

Why not just get stock D30 inner shafts that already have the 297 joints? You can then run D44 outers on the D30 inner shafts as they both take the same joint. IIRC look for a 95 and up XJ w/ ABS or a ZJ to find the 297 shafts. I really don't know what you're aiming to do by putting D44 outer shafts on D30 inners though.

aiming for.....kaboom

I know that, I was trying to find out if the OP was intending for this to be an upgrade or possibly something else. Kind of sounded like he may be trying to attempt to run lockout hubs on the D30. I just hope he wasn't thinking that D44 outers are going to gain him any stregnth as every time my D30 broke it was the joint that went first, and I was running Spicer joints with the caps tacked.

trying to upgrade the crap external hubs on a CJ to the dana 44's internal hubs. Just an idea, since i have a set of hubs and rotors laying around not being used.

We don't show any conversion axle joints in our books, just the standard drive shaft ones.

10-4. I looked through the neapco catalogs pretty good before posting, and couldn't find anything there. Just thought i would ask.

I know they sell conversion u-joints at oreillys. but I cant tell you they would have what your looking for.
