Can anyone here take a png or bmp file and convert it to a usable dwg or dxf?

I have a logo I need to convert and put in an autocad 2000 drawing.

Let me know options before I spend 26 hours drawing it by hand in Autocad :)

Do you intend to manipulate the details of the entity while in cad, or simply save as the file type? I can paste a BMP into cad and save as dxf with no issues... however i am unable to manipulate it other than to paste it in.

What Hurley said... except I'd ask my intern to do it. ;)

I can, depending on the quality of the original file. It will basicly have to be redrawn as outlines. The files you listed are rastered already.

looks like you have plenty of help... but if they fall through shoot me a PM and i'll give you my email address and I should be able to get something for you from our CAD guys.

this.
And have them redraw it.
Because that's what interns are for - stupid mindless work that nobody else wants to do.

Shit, if we had AutoCAD 2000, we have a summer intern who's literally begging for things to do. She's getting tired of making sketches of brain logos all day.

Heh... and my intern remembers the steps for the conversion better than I do... I'd have to ask him to remind me.

You don't have a library or anything she can alphabetize by height? I'm pretty sure that's what I did my first summer internship.

I was basically wanting to convert a company logo to dxf so I can import it into a dxf file. I wanted to scale it, move it, edit it, etc. so that I could have it laser cut.

But, I think I came up with another method that is way cheaper and easier :)

However, thanks for your offers to use your interns as slaves :D
