My girlfriend and I both get paid this week and we are wanting to go somewhere fun like Saturday after work and then stay overnight and then come back Saturday night. We both have to work on Sunday..so this will just be an overnight and day trip. We thought about going to Harrah's, but its too far of a drive to make at 7 in the evening and then to make back Saturday night. We want to go somewhere that we can have fun at night doing stuff and then all day Saturday. Nothing like camping or anything like that, but a train ride somewhere would be cool or something along those lines..just throw out some ideas...

Great Wolf Lodge is a lot of fun, we've been 3 or 4 times. 1 night there is plenty because you will be waterlogged!

ya think Tweetsie for 2x 20-someyear olds? I don't think that would be a lot of fun. I was just went there with the wife and 3 kids...we finished about everything except the train ride by early afternoon, figured we were about done, but the kids were loving it. They had a blast and want to go back, but they are 4 and 5 years old.

Tweetsie also closes at like 5:30, you'd have to do something else (lots in Boone I suppose) the first night, then hit Tweetsie RR in the morning.
Its $32 per adult, I used the corp. discount and saved $6 a head.

only bc he said ride a train... biltmore?

Can you take a train to biltmore? That would be awesome. I don't want to go to an amusement park, because we both dont care for roller coasters. We thought about going to downtown charlotte and renting a room and going bar hopping all night and stagger back to the hotel and then get up and go white water rafting at the US national Water rafting place in charlotte..but I dunno how that would pan out with a hangover.

x2 on the white water park. I havent been yet personally but its def on the top of my list. Whole buncha crap to do out there: white water(of course), hike, bikes, zip lines, elevated obstacle course, wall climbing, etc...

I would highly recommend the rafting center. I just did it for the first time Friday. My girlfriend and her family went. It was something like $50 each, but with that, we did the extreme raft ride, we rock climbed, we zip lined and did like a ropes course thing. We were there for about 5.5 hours. They had like a platform bungee jump thing too, but I was over the weight limit and we were running out of time.
