got my crossmember restructuring complete and super rigid.
the 1 3/4 tunbe was split in half and i then split a piece of 2" .25 wall and mounted adjacent to the old member and attached to the link tabs and proceeded to cover with 1/4" plate. on the back side i added another 1 3/4 .120 wall member with two 6" spreaders. also a triangulated vertical plane tube on drivers side. i can now put the whole weight of the rig on a floor jack. and have allowed 3/4" clearance between oil pan and crossmember.

also capped the dash support tube to clearance for the passenger head.
