Covers for recessed speakers

Any suggestions on where to get screen and mesh for covering a 6x9 speaker recessed into a trim panel? Something w/ enough strength that it can get hit/bumped w/ stuff or leaned on and not cave in. I'm making some trim panels and would like them to be as inconspicuous as possible.

Side note - it's amazing how hard it is to find good old-school black rectangular covers for these things...

you could try this stuff, I know it is not normally used for speakers and such but it is a pretty sturdy mesh that can be painted so as to not stand out. Plus it won't block any sound from the speaker.http://www.crazypc.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=200&Category_Code=

Your just looking in the WRONG places!

Electronic Distributors on Brookstown (3-4 miles from your work) would be a good place to start.

And there's a radio/electronics shop ("Randy's"??) between 2nd & Burke (kinda hard to find) that has that type stuff

Hm, I know both places. In fact I'm in ED all the time buying parts for the lab. We call 'em "the boys". Will give them a shot.
