1 liter? and those tires look tiny.
Almost liek somebody dropped a truck cab onto a side-by-side frame?
 
I agree with Ratlabguy, it looks like someone put a body on and stretched the frame of a side-by-side.
 
I've driven by that thing before - it's at an ATV shop that has a bunch of other stuff like it. (Right by the big chicken plant up there) My bet would be some sort of imported vehicle like you see in the news from India, China, etc...
 
Looks like a kia/suzuki to me, chopped the cargo hatch and made a truck bed out of it. Threw some atv tires on it so they didnt have to lift it. Vioala! You have a cheaper 4wheeler.

But if you look closely, looks to have a tube frame? I really don't think teh frame and body were designed for one another.
Even in other countries, I have a hard time imagining anybody designing a vehicle with a full truck body and only a 1 liter gas engine.
 
they (mahindra) were slated to go on sale in the US this summer but put off until next year.

Some already signed dealer probably had one imported as a marketing gimmick and to get a leg up on the competition then got worried mahindra was gonna back out completly and wanted their money back.

they cant sell it as a registered vehicle due to mahindra still trying pass nhsta safety tests so its being marketed at a really nice sidebyside.


just my guess anyway.
 
My guess is a Kia Sportage with a chopped off back, truck bed added and god only knows suspension.
 
It might be cool for deer hunting, especially with the heater option. :lol:
