Daaaaa-um.

On a side note - when I was a kid, we were driving through there one afternoon and got hit by a falling rock. Sucker was prob 2' diamter. My dad saw it coming, tried to avoid it... but he was boxed in, truck on L, cars in front and behind. Suckered begged the front P-side tire/q-panel, hard.
That '80 Benz wagon took it like a champ but we were F-ed, stuck on the side of the road in nowhereland, luckily found a garage "only" 20 more miles down the road... "it's gonna take a week to get the parts for this thing"...

Dad had a fun time proving to the inurance company that the ROCK hit HIM, not the other way around, so the ywouldn't have to pay out on comp.

uuuuuuhhhhhh..... yeah.... and the road underneath them? We do kinda need that to stay put.

nah roads are overrated... its odd driving down there with no traffic, i drove down the old roads and came back up what part that is open down there and i had the whole thing to myself, kinda fun, but it still sucks.

I live in winston-salem and we go to Tennesee several times a year. I've checked the milage and driving times many times. It's faster to go I-77 N. and I-81 S. than straight I-40 W. I have told several people this and they disagree and try it and they can't beleive it! They are shocked, it is 30 yo 45 minutes FASTER, NOT shorter but faster!.

amcjeepman, I think you know what i'm talking about without saying, Been going 3 to 4 times a year for 14 years.
