I had a crazy idea for something fun on here.
Wanted to get some opinions on wheather or not anyone would play.

Heres the idea.

Holidays are here and it's time for some gift swapping!

Gifts should be in the 50 to 100 dollar range(price subject to comments.
New or used, but MUST be in great working order.
Parts or accessories , recovery gear, radios, tire(s), wheels,Custom pcs,
really just about anything. Lets see some great ideas!

Does not have to be 4x4 related, but it must be cool to others(a gift someone would want..lol)



To enter...post a pic. and description of your gift. Once posted, your gift is essentially gone. You cannot sale it , you must give it away to the person who ends up with your name at the end of the deal.

Your post # will be your drawing number.

When all pics. are in(ending date) maybe Rob or someone will pick the random post number pairings.

Like post 4 and post 16 will swap gifts. post 6 and 3 will swap, post 11 and 9 etc.....

I think it's sounds like fun. The key will be in the number picking. Must be fair and random.

Everyone will have to man up and be responsible for getting their gifts to the recipiant when the time comes.

I think the dollar amount would have to drop to make it appealing to the masses......especially with the economy!
 
I think it would be better if everyone donates there stuff.........But to get a number for a prize you should have to donate a $10 to $20 new toy. And a certain date all the toys collected should be given to a charity. I was helped by alot of you folks when I needed it and really appriciated it. The economy is still bad......this way NC4x4 will again, help the needy. And this will still be a fun thing to do. I will donate something...

Nothing wrong with the original idea.....just thought it would be nice to help less fortunate ones with this.

I agree that it might be tough for folks to do $50-$100, But there is not much for 4x4's below that amount that would make it worth doing. I mean, if I want something for $20 bucks I'll just grab it. I like the donate to the pot for charity though. I think it would be sweet to give like a Solid diff cover, thats something most would like to have but hate to lay down the cash for.

6 qts of Amsoil/redline
some of those velcro grab handle things
keg of Sam Adams winter lager
Gift Certificate to Rides/Caroilna Truggys/M&M/MarsFab/Olivers/4WP
Wheel Spacers
Toy knuckle rebuild kit (who dosent need that...haha)

You are right. And that gives me another crazy idea:D
How about we all donate 5 dollars.
Everyone that donates 5 dollars will get their name on the list.
At the end, we pick a name from the list and the money goes to that persons favorite childrens charity.
I'm gonna check on this.(might see a new thread):popcorn:

Bump....A little more interest and we will start this soon.

Remember, The idea will be to post a pic. of your gift on here.
Maybe add a few details about it and what it is/does.

Others will do the same. At the end(date will be decided later) we will have someone, randomly choose 2 numbers at a time. These numbers will ''exchange'' gifts, which ever way is best for the two. Ie..mail, face to face, friend links etc...

If we end up with an odd number...I will add the missing gift myself, but I think it will work out to be even. Everybody swaps something, but you have no control over the decision...That will be random.

Guess we should say that you must be a paying member with an orange diamond.(yes, it's an orange diamond)

Who knows what you may end up with.

gag gifts wont be accepted into the game. Not fair to someone who gives something good to get a box of tampons and a bottle of mustard.(This has happened to me)lol

Anyways...please add to this post, so we can decide wheather or not it's worth doing.

If everyone takes on the giving spirit...should be some cool gifts swapped.

I'm still thinking the $gifts$ should be between 50 and 100, but we can go lower, if needed.
